Ergonomic Assessment

VDU Assesments are carried out in the following manner.


  1. The assessor arrives tot he workplace by appointment, 
  2. Discusses the nature of the Work in the particular workplace  
  3. The assessor observes the work stations and consults with the user.
  4. An assessment of each station is undertaken to include temperature, noise & light conditions,
  5. The results of the assessment is discussed with the user
  6. Record of the assessment is provided to the Employer.

 

Visual Display Unit (VDU) Assessments are required under the 2007 General Application Regulations and must be undertaken on all computer workstations where an employee will spend longer than 1 hour per day. 

 

The purpose of the VDU assessmentis to assess the current ergonomic layout of the workstation and its compliance with the 2007 General Application Regulations to ensure that the user is adequately protected and comfortable at work which we ensure by our quality and professional approach.
